A Chequered Ship

Hey, my lovely stars today I wanted to convey a message not through words, but through something perceivable based on sight.

Sometimes, words can't fully express the weight of a one-sided friendship. When you're always giving, listening, and caring, while the other person remains distant, the emotional toll is inevitable. Here's a visual reflection of that feeling—of realizing that even friendships, like everything else, can fade.

Nothing lasts forever, and maybe, that's where peace lies.

I’m not here to judge anyone’s friendships. Let’s just get to the point:

BE WITH PEOPLE WHO UPLIFT YOU.
Surround yourself with those friends who support, listen, and genuinely care. If you constantly feel drained or undervalued, it’s time to reevaluate.

SET YOUR BOUNDARIES.
It's not selfish to protect your peace. Boundaries are a form of self-respect and help maintain healthier, more balanced connections.

IT’S OKAY TO SAY NO.
You don’t live to please others. Saying "no" allows you to channel your energy where it matters most, without overextending yourself.

PRIORITIZE YOURSELF AND YOUR ENERGY.
Reflect on how you feel when you're with certain friends. If your heart feels too heavy, maybe it’s time to step back. Learn to recognize when something no longer serves you and give yourself permission to walk away.

CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF REGULARLY.
It's easy to lose track of your own feelings when you're focused on others. Make it a habit to reflect on your emotional state. Ask yourself: Am I happy? Am I drained? Regular self-check-ins help you stay in tune with your needs and recognize when a relationship isn’t working.

And lastly, it isn't about perfection, it's about balance and understanding!

Friendships are like ships, they either sink or float; based on how deep the waters are. - MY

Once again, remember it's all about understanding, support, and trust, if your friends love you but in a toxic manner, if your friends support you but by bringing your morale down, and if your friends trust you but you do not trust them, the ship will sink eventually, maybe now or later. It is okay to leave the friends who have hurt you, I know it feels guilty but at least let's thank god you have the empathy to think about them, they did not even think once while hurting you or weighing the consequences of their action, so it's best for you to let the ship sink rather than die trying to save a ship where the hull is broken. (A hull is the base or foundation of a ship.)

Until then, reflect within the waters of your soul, but kindly do yourself and me a favor(Why me? Because I care about you, I understand you and I am there with you, we are in this together, together deep in these deadly waters, surviving and thriving<<3). DON'T DROWN, it's not worth it.

With the most calm, sparkling and deep love,

XOXO,

MYM

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Canva, where I designed the 2 pieces in the post. (Not sponsored, just appreciative!) I’m not quite talented enough to draw or design something like this on my own, so thank you, Canva, for helping bring my ideas to life. https://www.canva.com/

And, of course, an immensely ginormous shout-out to my toxic friends! Your “support” and all those unforgettable experiences got me here to write this post. Thank you and no, I don’t love you. 😊

P.S. Stay tuned! In my next post, I’ll be diving deeper into the meanings and the symbols behind these two pictures. Can’t wait to share more soon! Till then, keep wondering what they could possibly signify!
