Hypocrisy flavoured bubble gum, extra chewy.

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DEAR STARS!! GREETINGS🌠

Today's topic of discussion is as scrumptious and juicy as the confection in the title suggests🫧, but obviously in the end we learn something. This tale an exposing, real and sourly sweet one portrays your normal teenage drama, rule-breaking and energy!! And so we shall chew.....

Hypocrisy, an ill disease which plagues the human mind. (WOAH wasn't this something related to bubble gum and teenagers???) Hahaha Okay then.

Bubble gum! What comes to your mind when you hear this? - Flavor? Texture? The smell? Bubbles? The sound when you pop it? The way it sticks to everything?

One of the elements of bubblegum which I admire the most is the bubble part, it is so bewitching and effervescent, but the thing I despise is when the bubble doesn't last :( It just pops, with that oddly satisfying sound, yet that sound can be really annoying at times similar to the highly infuriating voice-when somebody snitches.)

(Yes I am aware I sound ridiculously absurd talking about bubblegum, bubbles and snitches, wonder where I am going with this? Read and you shall conquer!)

My favorite flavor of bubble gum is hypocrisy, it has a never ending relish yet when you keep on chewing it, it becomes unbearable, stingy, and then it pops and pops and pops......POPS! Hard to spit out when you chew on utter pretence.

And so the sticky tale begins,

💡
KINDLY NOTE : This incident took place in school, and is related to one of my classmates, whose identity shall remain anonymous, the amusing fact is this guy is a good pal of mine and has also subscribed to my blog lol! SO THIS IS ALL IN GOOD FUN AND HEART :) DON'T FEEL BAD KS.

Chewing on Hypocrisy: The Extra Chewy Bubble Gum of Our class.

This whole story might sound strange but it is what it is. It revolves around - bubblegum, hypocrisy and snitching. Our whole class absolutely loves bubblegum, let's just call our class a bubblegum loving class! Sneaking it in, here and there, anytime and anywhere! AND since I am a part of my class (Well spotted, genius!) I also bubblegum bubblegum.

Yet the most heartbreaking, earthshattering and unfortunate part comes now............... The rule in our school states - 'Students are not allowed to eat during class.' More specifically this includes - 'Students are not allowed to chew gum in class.' It tears me up every time 😔

AHHH THIS IS NOSTALGIC - It happened literally 2 days ago -_- Anyway, the time dated back to History, History class to be more precise, around let's say ] 12:00 pm right after lunch, what a serene and insightful class we were in; learning about industrialization, time felt like money as we were discussing about capital and writing felt tiresome as we were discussing about factories explained by our splendidly insightful teacher!

During all of this, I was let's say a bit in need of my daily dose of bubblegum. I mean.....BREAKING A RULE???? Well yes. (Have you ever broken the rules in school or always been a goody two shoes or a bit of both?) And so the genius in me did, my teacher was writing something on the board when I put a piece of the deliciously sugary treat in my mouth.

And that is when....something happened, something bad.

THIS FRIEND OF MINE - We will be calling him KS (I cannot reveal the name.) - BETRAYED ME..........................GASP please...........................................................

Yes that bubble gum loving nincompoop snitched on other bubble gum loving me 💢😠 I mean come on! I thought we were friends. He said : "What are you eating Mariyam? WHAT ARE YOU EATING?" loudly enough so that the whole class could hear as well as the teacher.

(PS - Nincompoop was the best I could do, since we have to keep this family friendly.)

You can just imagine what happened next; Scolding? Punishment? The coordinator's cabin? Had an earful? yada yada... Nope not all! Thankfully, our awesome History teacher, nonchalantly was still writing on the board, and yes she heard all of the commotion. Though her silence, I am pretty sure was a direct signal to stop and throw the piece of gum. After getting the 'what-are-you-thinking' stares from the whole class, I finally caved in.

AND THIS INDIVIDUAL(KS) had no sense of sense but just to laugh at me. Anyways that happened and ma'am (our teacher) finished writing on the board and started to explain all the points and information she had written down.

Now you won't fathom, just like how I couldn't, not even 5 minutes had passed this incident and KS was removing something from his bag, it made a really crinkly noise, like the one when folding paper, it was really petite and tiny and wrapped up in rosy and cheery pink plastic. AND THIS 'it' was none other than bubblegum. The nerve this guy had, right after snitching on me for doing the same thing -_-

So I did what I had to do...........

No I did not snitch.

Even though I was incredibly pissed,

I made sure I kept my mouth stitched,

For that pesky little snitch.

I hope you liked my ensemble, it pretty much explains what I could have done but didn't. SO, after a while he was still chewing on gum -_- It's like telling somebody chewing on gum - "Stop making that noise, it is really irritating." and when the person halts, you yourself start obnoxiously chewing and doing the same you told somebody else not to. The audacity.

I won't make this story longer than it is supposed to be and just end it here, in brief ; He also got caught hahahahahha serves him right, and along with my other friend who apparently was also bubble gumming. ALSO you won't believe it, somebody snitched on him too that is how he got caught. They both got scolded though. KARMA

In the end, we all just laughed about this, moved on, and archived it is a sweet memory to come back to later but also as a lesson - DO NOT EAT GUM IN CLASS, also if you decide to, BE PREPARED. DON'T BE A BUBBLEGUM SNITCH STARS!!

From the above story I want to bring out 5 lessons-

  1. Don’t Break the Rule : It’s important to follow school rules (the practical ones to be more precise), like not chewing gum in class, to avoid getting into trouble and facing embarrassing situations.
  2. Karma’s a Thing : Actions often come full circle. If you snitch or act unfairly, don’t be surprised if the same thing happens to you.
  3. Handling Conflict Gracefully : Conflict is a natural part of any social environment, but how you handle it can make all the difference. In this story, the reaction to the snitching incident showed how handling conflict with grace can lead to better outcomes and preserve relationships.
  4. The Importance of Discretion : In the heat of the moment, it can be tempting to call out someone’s mistakes or bring issues to the forefront. However, sometimes it’s more effective to handle situations discreetly.
  5. Do not be a hypocrite.

The question arises - Was It Right for Him to Snitch?

In this case, snitching wasn't justified due to hypocrisy. The friend reported someone for breaking a rule while doing the same thing, which undermines the fairness of their action.

Moreover, lovely stars! I hope you liked this post, it was weird I agree but it really had an essence to teach. Also, I want to clarify whatever I write and whomever I write about when adhered to publishing on this blog, I make sure I ask their permission and consent before doing so. So in this case, before writing I asked my friend KS if he was okay to let me write about him and he delightedly agreed eagerly wanting his name to be revealed too hahaha -_- If you have any questions let me know in the comments:)

With the most whimsical love,

XOXO,

MYM
